Feather Your Nest

Laura Slatkin, the home fragrance maven whose private label client list reads like a fashion week itinerary, has developed her most luxurious line of interior scent goods yet; NEST Fragrances.  An exquisite collection of fourteen scented candles, reed diffusers and soaps; the NEST fragrance collection is a delight for your senses; combining color, texture and fragrance that will enhance your everyday living and entertaining experiences.

The star of the show is Bamboo; a veritable white flower bouquet that is bursting with creamy notes of gardenia, flowering bamboo and tuberose.  Sparkling citrus and fresh green accords keep this heady, luscious scent fresh.

Other fab NEST Fragrances to try? Grapefruit, mixed with lily of the valley and coriander blossom (this one is almost edible) and Moroccan Amber, an exotic fragrance that combines sweet patchouli, heliotrope and bergamot; making it a sultry, sexy scent.  Burn baby, burn.

  1. I also LOVE Wasabi Pear! The little kick from the wasabi keeps the pear from becoming overly sweet. Nest diffusers are also fantastic and so well priced. And the Holiday fragrance…. don’t get me going. September can’t come quick enough!

I want to try the Wasabi Pear so badly!! What a fab line and thank you for your comment! These candles are available at http://www.candlesoffmain.com/ too!

  2. Susan, that Wasabi Pear really does sound interesting. Ordinarily I’d stay away but the kick you speak of, definitely makes it worthy of trying. I really like Nest Ashleigh. I wonder how similar Bamboo is to Bath & Body Works Bambo by Laura’s husband Harry. Good stuff all around, nonetheless.

Hmmmm, good question Barney! I am going to the mall tomorrow- I will report back :)

    2. Barney – I was told that Nest Fragrances Bamboo is practically Slatkin & Co Bamboo & Jasmine. I haven’t smelled the BBW Bamboo candle by Harry – I’ll be sure to give it a sniff the next time I’m at the mall. If you like things with a kick, you might want to try Nest Wild Oats & Bourbon. The ginger really pops and the fragrance is getting rave feedback. Great fall/winter scent.
